Child Safety, Safeguarding and Photography
Updated 17 October 2026. Children's safety, dignity and privacy must be protected before, during and after every event.
Supervision
Adults organizing an event should confirm age ranges, accessibility needs, venue hazards and approved equipment with Batwana. Batwana should document supervision assignments, equipment inspections, emergency contacts and a lost-child response plan for each event. Published staffing or insurance commitments must be supported by current records.
Photography and publicity
Identifiable images of children must not be used in Batwana publicity without documented appropriate parental or guardian authorization. Event participation, payment or a general booking signature does not automatically authorize promotional photo use. Provide separate, optional decisions for taking an image, sharing it privately with an authorized organizer and publishing it publicly. Record the scope and date of authorization and provide a way to withdraw future use.
Data minimization
Do not request children's names, birthdays, health conditions or photographs for an initial price enquiry. Where specific information is genuinely necessary to protect a child, restrict access, explain the purpose and protect it appropriately.
Concerns and incidents
Report a safeguarding concern immediately to an event supervisor and contact [email protected]. In an emergency, contact appropriate emergency services. Staff should follow the company's approved incident and escalation procedures. This public summary is not a claim that all operational procedures have already been independently verified.
